Why Soy?

Soy wax is a product of American grown soybeans. It is natural, non-toxic, biodegradable, and burns cooler with very little soot and smoke. We use only lead free, paper core wicks, and refrain from using colors and dyes to maintain the integrity of the natural wax. Metro Jar Candles

Our sleek, simple, 8 ounce, Metro Jar candles feature snug fitting glass lids and are absolutely perfect for any decor with many hours of enjoyment. We use the finest pure soy wax, soy based fragrance oils, and lead free, paper core wicks in every candle. To keep our candles' natural integrity, we've chosen not to add coloring or dye. We also carry classic votive jars, travel tins and clear tealight cups. And for those places where an open flame isn't practical, we offer 2-in-1 electric candle and tart warmers. These are terrific multi-purpose warmers to use with our wickless tins, decorative tarts and clamshell breakaway tarts.

Soy wax is wonderful and luxurious, but like all natural products it has slightly imperfect characteristics. It has a lower melting point than other waxes and is quite sensitive to temperature. Our candles are hand poured and yield different results with temperature variations within the same batch. Slight imperfections such as a small crack near the wick or a tiny air bubble on the the surface are normal and in no way affect the candle's performance. The top will smooth out after it's first burn. We prefer to think of it as a special nuance of hand made products from natural materials.

To get the best results from your candles, trim the wick to 1/4" before each use, and keep away from drafts. Burn for a minimum of 30 minutes to keep tops smooth. Higher ceilings may effect your enjoyment of the candle's scent. If possible, burn the candle in a room with lower ceilings and the scent will flow throughout the area. If traveling with your candles, be careful of extreme temperatures where candles could melt or freeze. Do not apply melted wax to skin for risk of burns. Do not pour melted wax down the drain. They begin with hand made paper from recycled materials and are decorated with discarded sales samples retrieved from our local, non-profit organization, "The Scrap Box." Amaretto Joy: A delicious scent of black cherries, vanilla and a hint of almond. A favorite for men, too!
Angel Wings (VS Type): Floral blend of bergamot, rose, jasmine, lavender, carnation and sweet lily, soft sandalwood and vanilla musk.
Bayberry: A traditional favorite for the holidays. This festive fragrance combines berries, forest spruce, clove, and a touch of ginger.
Coconut Lemongrass (BBW type): A blend of zesty lemongrass and fruity pineapple with lily of the valley, peach, coconut and sandalwood
Heavenly (VS Type): This popular scent is smooth and woody with floral musk, citrus, bergamot, and velvety tones of violets, sweet balsam, and sandalwood musk.
Honeysuckle Vine: Classic, soft and sweet, honeysuckle bouquet with sweet lily and jasmine.
Lavender Fields: Soothing and romantic, this blend begins with calming lavender and adds soft touches of woody undertones.

Warm Cinnamon Buns: Fresh baked goodness! This scent is buttery and sweet with cinnamon and creamy vanilla frosting. This fragrance is not compatible with body care products. Warm Vanilla Cream: Warm vanilla beans covered in sweet velvety cream, with a soft fruity note.
White Tea & Ginger: This soft, inviting scent begins with white tea, mandarin and ginger, then combines accents of garden thyme, jasmine, peony and wild lavender.
White Pine: Incredible deep North wood evergreen scent. Rustic and rich like the deep woods in autumn.
